Project Description
The two day hike to (and from) base camp through the Bob and Great Bear Wilderness makes this trip a favorite for long distance backpackers hoping to get to the middle of scenic wilderness and immersed in the solitude. Volunteers will attack a knapweed patch that sits high on a ridge at the headwaters of the Wild and Scenic Middle Fork of the Flathead River. These invasives need to be sprayed before they take over and spread down river. Volunteers will be working on a steep slope off trail. Strong calves and sturdy boots are a must.
7 Lazy P is a world class outfitter based in Choteau MT. They are donating there services by providing pack support and more! There stock and wranglers will transport tools, food, group gear and even personal gear to basecamp. All you need to carry is a day pack!
