BMWF #1 National Trails Day Stanton Lake/ Rescue Basin (no deposit required)

Type of Project: Hiking
Rating: Easy
Trip Dates: 06/01/2013
Location: Staton Lake/ Rescue basin
Work: We will kick off our 2013 summer season with National Trails Day! Show your love for trails by joining us for a day of good old fashion hard work. We will be working on the popular day use trails of Stanton Lake #146 and Rescue Basin #326. These trials need some sprucing up before summer gets into full swing. We will be using pulaskis to repair tread, Cross cuts and saws to clear fallen trees and loppers to open up the trail corridor. After a day on the trail, the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation invites all volunteers to a tailgate BBQ at the Hungry Horse Ranger Station from 4-6pm. BMWF will provide the grub. Once you submit your registration to BMWF you will receive more detailed project information including a suggested packing list and directions.
This trip DOES NOT require a deposit. American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day® is a nationally recognized trail awareness program that occurs annually on the first Saturday of June and inspires the public to discover, learn about, and celebrate trails while participating in outdoor activities, clinics, and trail stewardship projects.
