Meet the BMWF 2010 Staff
Meet the BMWF Board of Directors

Paul Travis

Paul Travis, Executive Director
A Montana native with a huge appetite for the outdoors, Paul rejoined the BMWF the summer of 2008 as Executive Director. He has enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces and has jumped into his new role with excitement. In charge of grant writing to fundraisers; Paul also relishes the chance to extract himself from his desk and swing a Pulaski out on the trail.

Keagan Zoellner, Program Director
Keagan first got her feet wet (literally) in The Bob as a Forest Service River Ranger for 5 seasons. She has also worked with youth-at-risk in Montana, kayakers in Chile, field ecology with whales and invertebrates in Baja, and as a Snow Ranger for the Forest Service. While relishing the myriad of new challenges as the program director, you may catch her out on the trail a time or two; either swinging tools and enjoying the dirt or packing for a volunteer crew.

Addy Wygmans & Beast

Addy Wygmans (& Beast), Senior Wilderness Crew Leader
Addy and Beast are happy to be returning to the BMWF for their fourth season. We welcome them back after a 250 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail and rickshaw driving in North Carolina in the "off season". In between summers in The Bob, Addy and Beast can be found biking around the country, working with youth and waiting for the snow to melt in Montana. Addy brings her infectious enthusiasm, extensive knowledge and years of experience back to The Bob to the huge pleasure and benefit of us all!

Anneliese Ranzoni

Anneliese Ranzoni, Noxious Weeds Crew Leader
Anneliese was born in Brooklyn, New York, but Montana's wilderness has held her captive since moving here in 2006 to work with the Montana Conservation Corps. Anneliese is returning for her second season as the Noxious Weeds Crew Leader, motivated to continue the strong weeds work the BMWF started last year. When not pursuing noxious weed education and fighting to keep weeds out of our pristine backcountry, Anneliese likes to roadtrip, most recently to the Southwest.

Kelsey Patterson, Wilderness Trail Crew Leader
Kelsey grew up in central Oregon skiing, hiking, and swimming the cold, clear waters of the Cascade Range. After graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Environmental Studies, she took her passion for the outdoors to Big Sky Country to work for the Montana Conservation Corps. She is very excited to join the BMWF and spend another season in the woods. When not hard at work, she can be found testing her braveness on a crag or learning to paddle northwest whitewater.

Katie DeGrote, Wilderness Trail Crew Leader
After an awesome season in The Bob with the Montana Conservation Corps, Katie is excited to come on board as a crew leader for the BMWF. Wanderlust led Katie out West after growing up in Minnesota, and her desire for adventure keeps her coming back for more. Her zest for life and spunky attitude are assets to the team, and she can't wait to dive into more adventures this summer.

Carolyn Collier, Student Conservation Association Intern
Carolyn is excited for her first summer with the BMWF. A native Nebraskan, she makes frequent trips to the mountains and spent last summer hiking and working in Honduras. A self proclaimed history nerd, she will graduate with a BA in History in May 2011. When not hiking or reading history books, you can find her with a Frisbee in hand and classic rock music playing.
