Cliff hails from Colorado and is no stranger to trail work and backcountry travel. He has been the Regional Supervisor for the Northern Rockies region of the Montana Conservation Corps since 2003. When he’s not in the office or writing grants, you can find him on the soccer fields with the Flathead Soccer Club.

Chany Ockert

Chany Ockert, Board Member
A Montana native, Chany combines her passion for the Bob Marshall Wilderness and her commitment to strengthening nonprofits as a volunteer board member for the BMWF.  In 2003, she was awarded the United States Health and Human Services Excellence in Adoption for Public Awareness, and then pursued service in fundraising.  She seeks to spend much of her summers in The Bob.

Greg Schatz

Greg Schatz, Board Member
Greg spends most of the summer packing tools and gear with his string of horses for the volunteers on BMWF projects. His passion for maintaining trails and historical use by horsemen in the BMWC has led to his community involvement in the Back Country Horsemen of the Flathead. Greg is the president of Schatz Quality Carpentry Inc and has been building homes for 31 years.

Ralph is a registered contractor specializing in carpentry and works on a bid basis in the Flathead. He has a strong background in backcountry horse packing and is a member of the Back Country Horsemen of the Flathead.
