Project Description

UPDATE: Due to a heavy snow year on the Rocky Mountain Front, we have had to relocate this project! The new project will be camping along the South Fork of the Sun River and clearing the low water trail. A recent wind storm has made the trail impassable with down trees. This trail sees lot of use in the summer and fall and is in desperate need of clearing. The work you do will make many Wilderness users very happy!

For a packing list and other helpful information:

USFS Augusta Information Center on Manix Street or at a local eatery coordinated by crew leader. Carpool to the Benchmark trailhead for one night camping and hit the trail early to hike to basecamp. Benchmark road is well maintained and takes about an hour and twenty minutes to get to the trailhead/camp location from the town of Augusta.

Meeting Date and Time:
